Facilities Technician – Geneva, Switzerland.

This is a varied role that includes the following responsibilities:

Work Control Center
• Manage Work Control Center: administrate work orders database, by developing work schedule development and providing capacity and backlog reporting.
• Define, up-date and display weekly / monthly KPI’s linked to the department / individual’s performance (work order completion).

Utilities and energy consumption
• Analyze Utilities and energy systems (gas, electric, water, fuel, oil, HVAC) regarding their system distribution and capacity. Implement system redundancy based on risk analysis together with back-up planning for risk remediation.
• In charge of all projects related to energy management savings, in collaboration with external partners and Geneva state initiatives.
• Follow-up on purchasing of energy (e.g. : electricity, natural gas, water, fuel, etc.).
• Define, up-date and display weekly / monthly KPI’s linked to the department / individual’s performance (work order completion).

Space planning and Building Master Plan
• Coordinate space planning for the whole Covance Geneva building: responsible to define a Building Master Plan to recommend building evolutions according to future Covance needs.
• In charge of laboratory and/or offices moves : ensure project management, coordination of space planning modification by establishing planning phase minimizing impact on Covance daily business.
• Provide technical data to populate Facility Management (FM) databases (e.g. : space, building characteristics, equipment manuals, work instructions, etc…).
• Responsible for the up-dates and accuracy of building drawings.
• Define, up-date and display weekly / monthly KPI’s linked to the building occupancy.

Engineering / Methods

• Define, provide and up-date design guidance standards for construction projects (offices / laboratories layout, standard furniture’s, access control, etc…).
• Give support to the Facilities team by establishing methods and clear visual job aids for the daily activities (incl. response to operational breakdowns, maintenance, seasonal tasks, process description, project management).
• Create, up-date and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Procedures & Policies (P&Ps) for facilities functions.
• Responsible for Building Management System (BMS) up-grades.
• 5S representative for the department.

Security
• Responsible for Key and lock program management.
• Manage and administrate Facility access control system.
• In charge of building monitoring systems (building automation alarms, local and remote surveillance, additions).

BCP
• Provide assistance to the Facilities manager for the definition and up-dates of Business Continuity Plan (BCP).

Others:
• Establish and maintain classified library for audits / authorities / technical documentation (paper and electronic form).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Candidates must have

            Knowledge and experience using AUTOCAD

            Experience in Facilities Management

            Knowledge of LEAN/TPM

    Experience of implementing a project using GMAO

            Fluent in French

    Good knowledge of English
