Service Delivery Manager, BBC Technology
£45,000 - £55,000 pa (dependent upon experience)
London
We're looking for a Service Delivery Manager to join the Service Management function within Technology Operations. Technology Operations is part of the Technology Division within the BBC Operations Group. It provides support for studios and broadcast infrastructure, support for digital production systems and systems management, as well as support for PC and Mac desktops across domestic and international offices. Technology Operations also provides operational switching and monitoring of media, business continuity support, broadcast duty management and a range of operational support services.
This role has a significant emphasis on account management and will primarily be responsible for maintaining and developing key relationships with the output divisions. You will anticipate their needs and will ensure that the service delivery from Tech Ops meets their expectations. You will keep a constant eye on the quality of services being delivered to your end customers from 3rd party suppliers and services provided by Tech Ops, by holding regular reviews with customers and delivery teams and acting as the broker between the two when issues arise. Service Delivery Managers use their business knowledge to proactively intervene in incidents or problems affecting the end customer and you may take the lead in coordinating incidents which are service affecting, ensuring that the key stakeholders are kept informed throughout.
Experience in managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, specifically at senior executive levels is a must, along with a proven ability to build relationships, influence and reason with a range of technical and business stakeholders using a variety of styles. You'll have demonstrable experience of working effectively within collaborative team structures in a technology based environment. Experience of managing services through outsourced technical contracts is a must, along with either ITIL Service Management Certificate or equivalent knowledge of service management principles.
