We are looking for an experienced Release Lead to manage the deployment of multiple infrastructure applications into the live production environment, ensuring effective service readiness and operational acceptance has been undertaken. You will manage any changes or risks that may impact the production environment ensuring that the Production Support teams are kept fully informed and that early life support is in place. You will also warrant appropriate deployment procedures, managing any detrimental issues that may occur in the production environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Undertake Release Management and Deployment for one or more Application Releases
• Plan and coordinate the release of new and changed components from development into the production environment, ensuring delivery of solutions that align with the WorldPay Service Management processes and toolsets
• Manage the effective impact analysis to determine how new and changed services impact the production environment, ensuring that change and release management activities are authorised through change approval boards (CAB) and service acceptance boards (SABs)
• Provide a specific single point of contact between the projects/releases and production support, ensuring that needs and expectations are met by both sides
• Ensure that all requirements, release plans and changes are communicated to all affected support team members and proactively communicate risks to the production support managers
• Provide input into any review of the methodology used for transitioning into the production environment
• Manage and arrange go-live service acceptance boards (SAB) to ensure effective service readiness, knowledge transfer and support staffing capacity
• Establish strong relationships with Business and Project Managers to understand the technology to be transitioned into the business and its implications to the production environment
• Drive enhancements to ongoing operational support and infrastructure upgrades and consolidations

Skills & Experience

As you will be the "middle man" between the Application Technology Team and the wider business, relationship management and stakeholder engagement will be key to the success in this role. You will have a proven background in Release Management and Deployment activities, ideally from a Merchant or Financial Services organisation, however large blue chip industries will also be considered. Experience of working within a "green field" environment will be highly considered. You will also possess:

• Strong process management background – particularly relating to Release Management and Deployment
• Credible and engaging communication style, building strong relationships in times of challenge
• Experience of operating in a fast-paced business environment with an emphasis on positive change and adaptive working practises
• Strong analysis capability and ability to drive process improvement
• Extensive experience of formal Project Life Cycle methodologies - ITIL v3 minimum is required
• Experience of BMC Remedy and the Atrium CMDB tool is highly desirable
• Experience of operating in a Global Business environment
